A scale

A forest floor in a bag, these blends feature all the textural elements found on the forest floor including grasses, leaves, bushes, dirt, dead fall and mosses. Scatter them liberally to simulate a thick, natural look. Use the dark blend to make the deep parts of your forests seem even deeper.

DARK ADIRONDACK BLEND – A Darker Blended Forest Floor in our NEW 48oz. ECO-Pak. That’s 16oz. MORE!! A deeper tone multi-blend to bring out the contrast of more distant forests featuring all the textural element you would expect to see deep in a thick forest floor. Looks great under a dense SuperTree forest of trees! This blend consists of static grasses, leaves, bushes, humus dirt, fine dead fall and mosses. Very effective if you first paint your base surface a neutral brown or darker green and then liberally scatter the materials among your trees and forest edges. Use Green Adirondack Blend on clearings and forest edges where light is more available. Apply lichens and foliage fibers to create under brush. Soak well with Matte Medium spray.

Forest floors convey a different look then most other base layers. Layering a convincing series of textures will give you the look you desire. First, using the Dark Adirondack blend as the base you can now begin to add as much texture you will need. Light touches will add shadows and other details like the Pull-Apart Foliage can give you a thicker undergrowth finish.

Explore the selection of different blends we offer as well as all the other texture materials available to enhance and complete your scene! The Dark Adirondack blend is also used for other base scenes around your layout. When you have an area that is neglected or is to depict a scene on the edges of a field or the far backyard of a home this blend fills in perfectly. By adding either light or heavy detail touches, the scene becomes realistic. Another great texture you will want to consider is the Green Adirondack Blend.
