Model History and Information: The Cat® AP655F is a tracked asphalt paver used to lay and screed asphalt on road-paving projects, combining a feed system and a heated screed for smooth, consistent mats. It is powered by a Cat C4.4 engine rated at 173 hp (129 kW) and meets U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final and EU Stage IV emission standards. Its Mobil-Trac rubber-track undercarriage gives the AP655F flotation, smooth travel and higher speed than wheeled pavers, suiting it to airport runways, interstates and other large paving jobs. An integrated 70 kW generator heats the screed plates quickly, reducing the time needed to bring the paver to working temperature. This 1:50 scale model reproduces the standard configuration.
